8-layer Salad

 

SERVINGS: 8-10 servings

INGREDIENTS


  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, cored and cut into pieces
  • 1 cucumber, seeded and sliced
  • 1 cup frozen peas, rinsed and drained
  • 1½ cups celery, thinly sliced
  • 1 red onion or 4 scallions, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 6 ounces sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (3-ounce) jar  HORMEL® Real Crumbled Bacon
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped (optional)

DIRECTIONS


1. Layer first 5 ingredients, one at a time, in a large glass bowl; don’t mix the ingredients.
2. In another bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sour cream and sugar. Pour mixture over salad..
3. Layer cheese, bacon and egg, if desired, over dressing.
