Chicken Noodle and Vegetable Soup is a classic and comforting dish that combines tender chicken, flavorful vegetables, and hearty egg noodles in a savory broth. Ingredients
½ | cup fresh or frozen diced onion |
1 | tablespoon butter |
6 | cups water |
2 | tablespoons HERB-OX® Chicken Granules Bouillon |
1½ | frozen mixed vegetables, thawed |
1 | (10-ounce) can HORMEL® Premium Chicken Breast |
1½ | wide egg noodles |
Salt and pepper, to taste |
Directions
In large saucepan, sauté onion in butter 2 minutes or until softened. Add water and bouillon; bring to a boil.
Stir mixed vegetables, chicken and egg noodles into saucepan. Return mixture to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer 10 to 12 minutes or until noodles and vegetables are tender. Season with salt and pepper.
Notes:
For Vegetable Noodle Soup, substitute HERB-OX® Vegetable Bouillon Cubes for the chicken bouillon. Omit chicken and increase frozen mixed vegetables to 2 cups. Stir in ½ cup canned diced tomatoes, if desired.
