Baked Bagel Egg and Cheese

The crowning jewel of this breakfast delight is our crispy bacon. Cooked to crispy perfection, it adds a smoky, savory crunch that takes every bite to the next level.

Ingredients

 
2 everything bagels, split
1 tablespoon butter, melted
2 eggs
2 slices cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 slices HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Fully Cooked Bacon
1 tablespoon chopped green onion

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F.

  2. Using a 2-inch round cutter, cut out center of tops of bagels. Brush cut sides of bagels with melted butter. Arrange bagel halves cut side down on baking sheet. Bake 3 to 4 minutes or until lightly toasted.

  3. Flip bagel bottoms over, cover each with 1 slice cheese. Crack 1 egg into each bagel top. Bake 5 to 8 minutes, or until cheese is melted and eggs are set. Add bacon slices to baking sheet during last 2 minutes of baking to warm. Season eggs with salt and pepper. Sandwich bagels together. Garnish with green onions.
