Ingredients
2 | tablespoons melted butter |
4 | slices white sandwich bread |
6 | ounces HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Canadian bacon slices |
1½ | tablespoons country Dijon mustard |
1 | cup grated Gruyre cheese, divided |
½ | cup Alfredo sauce |
¼ | teaspoon ground nutmeg |
2 | eggs, cooked sunny-side up or over easy |
Directions
Heat broiler. Heat large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat.
Butter each bread slice on 1 side. Top with 5 slices Canadian bacon and Dijon mustard. Top with ½ cup cheese and cover with remaining bread slices, butter side up. Place sandwiches in skillet, pressing gently with back of spatula. Cook on each side about 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly golden.
Top sandwiches in skillet with Alfredo sauce and sprinkle with nutmeg. Add remaining ½ cup cheese. Place skillet in oven and broil 2 to 3 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Top with egg.
