Ingredients
1 | (8-ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature |
3 | green onions, thinly sliced |
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
2 | sheets frozen puff pastry (from 17.3-ounce package), thawed |
8 | slices HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Original Thick Cut Bacon, chopped and crisply cooked |
1 | cup shredded cheddar cheese |
1 | egg plus 1 tablespoon water, lightly beaten |
Directions
Heat oven to 375°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
In small bowl, stir together cream cheese and green onions. Season with salt and pepper.
On lightly floured work surface, unfold pastry sheets. Lightly roll each piece of pastry into 10-inch square. Divide and spread cream cheese mixture over surface of each pastry, leaving a slight border around edges.
Sprinkle each with bacon and cheese. Tightly roll each pastry sheet, pinching the seam closed and place seam-side down on work surface.
Using a sharp knife, cut both rolls crosswise into 10 pinwheels each, approximately 1 inch thick. Transfer 10 pinwheels to each prepared baking sheet, spiral-side up. Brush the tops and sides of the pinwheels with egg mixture.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
