Ingredients

24 servings

cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
Kosher salt and black pepper, to taste
1 (17.3-ounce) package ready-made puff pastry sheets, thawed according to package directions
1 egg, beaten
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, divided
1 (12-ounce) package HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH™ Flavored Thick Cut Bacon, halved

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Line 2 large rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In small bowl, combine brown sugar, rosemary, salt and pepper.

  3. On lightly floured work surface place pastry sheets. Brush each with beaten egg. Evenly sprinkle each with ½ cup cheese. Sprinkle each with ½ teaspoon cayenne. Lightly press cheese into egg to adhere. Fold pastry sheets in half. Cut each half into 10 strips. Gently twist each strip several times to enclose the cheese.

  4. Wrap each twist with ½ piece of bacon. Place on prepared sheets. Sprinkle each with brown sugar mixture.

  5. Bake 30 to 40 minutes, rotating pans halfway through and turning twists over once, or until pastry is puffed and bacon is crisped. Serve warm.
