Ingredients
½ | cup chopped green tomato or tomatillo |
2 | teaspoons apple cider vinegar |
Dash sugar | |
1 | tablespoon BBQ seasoning |
1 | (9 to 10-ounce) bag dipping corn chips, divided |
2 | (5.2-ounce) packages garlic and fine herbs spreadable cheese |
1 | (15-ounce) can HORMEL® Chili |
¼ | cup BBQ Sauce |
½ | cup shredded cheddar cheese |
½ | cup French fried onions |
Directions
Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray 2-quart casserole with nonstick cooking spray.
In small bowl, combine chopped green tomato, vinegar, sugar and BBQ seasoning; set aside.
Lightly crush about ½ cup of corn chips from bag. Reserve remaining chips for serving.
In bottom of prepared casserole, spread cheese. Top with crushed chips. Pour chili over top, gently spreading to edges. Drizzle with BBQ sauce. Cover with foil. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
Remove foil. Sprinkle with cheese and onions. Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Serve with remaining chips.
