Ingredients

2 poblano peppers
4 frozen tamales, defrosted
1 (15-ounce) can HORMEL® Chili with Beans
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup chopped onion
Chopped fresh cilantro and chopped green onions

Directions

  1. Heat broiler to HIGH. Cut peppers lengthwise in half; remove stems and seeds. Place on foil-lined baking sheet, skin side up.

  3. Place peppers in a large bowl; let stand, covered, 20 minutes. Reduce oven setting to 350ºF.

  4. Peel off and discard charred skins. Place peppers in a greased 11×7-in. baking dish.

  5. Remove husks from tamales. Cut tamales into quarters; place over peppers. Top with chili, cheese and chopped onion. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Serve with cilantro and green onions.
