Ham and Spinach Puff Pastries are elegant treats that make for a delightful appetizer or a light meal option. Encased in flaky and buttery puff pastry, each pastry is filled with a luscious blend of HORMEL® CURE 81® Diced Ham, creamy Alfredo sauce, spinach, and cheese. This hand-held delicacy is so good, you’ll be reaching for another.

Ingredients

 
1 (17.3-ounce) package frozen puff pastry
1 cup jarred Alfredo sauce
8 ounces HORMEL® CURE 81® Diced Ham
2 cups finely chopped spinach
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon water

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F.

  2. Cut the puff pastry sheets into 5-inch squares. Set aside in the refrigerator.

  3. In medium saucepan, heat Alfredo sauce over medium heat. Stir in spinach, ham and cheese and cook 1 minute.

  4. Arrange puff pastry squares on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Spoon 2 scant tablespoons of Alfredo mixture in center, leaving ½-inch border.

  5. In small bowl, whisk together egg and water. Brush edges of pastry and bake 20 minutes, until puffed and golden.
